Our next pack meeting will be November 18, 2009 at Herberich School from 7-8 pm. Den 4 will be leading.
Blanket Drive
The Scouts of Den 8 will be collecting used blankets for the Humane Society at the November & December Pack meeting. Please use this opportunity to clean out your closet and keep an animal warm this winter.
Popcorn Sale is over!
A big thank-you to everyone who helped us sell popcorn this year. We sold over $14,000! Given the economic climate, the pack commitee is very grateful for the effort everyone put forth to make our sale a great success. Prizes for selling popcorn are typically sent to the pack in December.
Upcoming Events:
Pinewood Derby is approaching fast! Pinewood Derby kits will be dispersed to the scouts during the December Pack meeting. The rules for the Derby can be found here. After the Derby we will be having a race for family members of scouts. In order to race, you will have to provide your own car and follow the same rules as the scouts follow (weight, official wheels & axels, etc).
Weigh in for all racers is Friday, Jan 15 from 6:30-7:30 PM at Herberich
Racae Day is Saturday, Jan 16 starting at 9:00 AM
Note: Do NOT put graphite on the axels before weigh-in. The adult racing staff will put graphite on all cars, making sure to keep the mess to a minimum.
Calendar
Please be aware the calendar will be continually updated, so if you choose to print it out, you should still check the on-line calendar for changes. It lists Pack activities as well as Old Portage District activities and adult training sessions. We will notify you when any significant change is made.
