Pack 3390's leaders will do their best to provide quality programs. But all the leaders in Pack 3390 are volunteers and have many other obligations. We depend on parents to help. We ask every parent to help the pack in some capacity. The most important (and most fun) job is den leader. However, there are many other areas where your help in running the pack is appreciated. Remember, we are in it to help the boys have as much fun as possible.
A parent should attend the pack and den meetings together with the Cub Scout.
Cub Scouts need a handbook for their appropriate age and rank. We recommend that parents read the book cover to cover. Den leaders will guide your scout to achieve the requirements toward his advancements, however, parents play a larger part. You are Akela (teacher).
There are no secrets in cub scouts. Parents are welcome in any organization meeting of the pack. Pack committee meetings are held at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at Faith Lutheran Church, our charter organization, on West Market Street in Fairlawn.
Boy Scouts of America prohibits the consumption of alcohol, substance abuse and profanity during any scouting activity. For those of you who smoke, we request that you seek out and use the designated smoking areas during any scouting event. Smoking will not be tolerated around the scouts. |
